Gentle indoor exercise in a friendly environment

Thanks for visiting the Calne Short Mat Bowls website. Hopefully it is because you would like to know more about us, either as a newcomer or perhaps as a bowler looking to join a local club. New members are always welcome. Our aim is to be a friendly, welcoming and sociable club, providing a sport that gives gentle exercise for all.

Our Club

We are based at The Beversbrook Sports and Community Facility, Beversbrook Lane, Calne (A3102), in the sports hall. We hold three sessions per week and run throughout the year. We enjoy a good social atmosphere, and for those who enjoy competitive bowling we belong to the Wiltshire Short Mat Bowling Association Winter League. We also have players that play in county competitions, but non-competitive, social bowling is the basis of what we do.

Try Bowling!

Why not join us. Our sessions are as shown under the club heading. All you need to play is a pair of flat soled shoes or trainers and your first three sessions, together with coaching if required, are completely free.
